Fine Art – Marslyn V Lewis

Fine Art – Marslyn V Lewis

A fine work of art, with lines so well carved and astutely defined.

Exudes vigour, power, and much strength.

Your physical being constantly mesmerises, captivates and sets each sleeping nerve within my body in a rhythmic motion.

Your voice arrests and stirs the curiosity of everything under its sound, yet it remains gentle and calm.

Our coming together has provoked an irresistible and pulsating flow of untouched, unexpressed chemistry, that registers instantaneous vivid mental and emotional impressions, that apprehends every thought in my mind, leaving me totally immersed in an eclectic spell that cannot be explained by words.

Your eye emanates beauty in all its marvellous splendour…

And your lips so meticulous sculpted, soft to the touch and sweet to the taste

Each glance stimulates and arouse unquenchable desires deep within

With a face of an angel, and a heart of a lion, each gaze caused my imagination to go untamed, caught in an emotional fury trying to unravel, explain and interpret the artist handiwork, whose story has no end, remains untold, and constantly captivates the soul and penetrates at an unexplained depth

This is truly a breathtaking, amazingly beautiful work of art, one that has left a lasting impression in my mind.

True stunning, powerful, strong, ambitious, determine, persistent, wild and free is My prized piece of art, the finest I’ve ever seen

True Intimacy – By Marslyn Lewis

TRUE INTIMACY – By Marslyn Lewis

My soul hungers and yearns for you; I can’t seem to find rest

Like a young child thirst the milk of its mothers breast

Each day thoughts of you stir a fire deep within

And constantly stimulates the core of my being

My heart pants each moment am awake and is left wanting more and more of you

As I try to come to grips with this thing called love i feel for you

I dream of your sweet kisses and your gentle touch so warm so real so true

A new depth of passion is ignited in me daily

As I reminisce on all the precious moments you’ve spent with me

A miracle I have found when I laid eyes on you

one late Saturday, as night turned into day under the umbrella of the morning dew

The moment that changed my life forever, and left me completely hypnotised in

a world of uncompromised romance

I’m forever Intrigued by your sweetness which has swept me into a deep trance

Union Island Church sets up IT Lab

The Christ is theAnswerEvangelisticCenteronUnionIslandis believed to be the first church in St Vincent & theGrenadinesto establish a computer laboratory and launch a certified ICT training initiative for its members and community.

This ICT initiative started in September 2011 with the refurbishing of the lower flat of the church and the installation of four computers, the church was then ready to take in its first batch of students. Since its commencement the programme has proven itself to be successful. Just recently Junior Kelly, Yvette Pierre, Normalyn Adams, Ruby McIntosh, Edna Jones, Lereen Jack, Reno Mason and Konica Williams received their certificates in Introduction to Computers issued by the National Centre of Technological Innovation.

The Introduction to Computers course was delivered to the students via projected slides, and utilizing other modern teaching techniques. Classes are geared for ages 9-99 and comprised of 4 modules: Computer Basics, Introduction to the Desktop, World Wide Web and Email.

Speaking with Pastor Ivy Skeete she related how it all started. “ The ICT Initiative  came about as a result of the interest to empower the church members and community in the basic knowledge of ICT, which can boost confidence, be a plus on a resume and also  reduce social ills like poverty and crime .”

Skeete further stated “we got contributions from local businesses hence managed to make the programme possible and also free of charge to the students. The programme itself was geared for persons of all ages and I would like to thank the tutor Stanton Gomes for his patience that he showed towards the students.”

When asked about future plans for the laboratory, Skeete stated that advanced courses are being considered and there are also plans to establish a reading and research corner and make it available for the community. However, having access to the internet would greatly enhance the research component and is thus appealing for assistance from the internet service providers on the island for their assistance in this area.

At the recently held graduation during a regular Sunday’s church service one of the graduates, Yvette Pierre thanked the church for providing such a beneficial training, she stated “I did not know anything about the computer, I was afraid of touching it fearing I would break something. Now I can use the computer and browse the internet and send emails. Its never too old to learn” She also thanked the tutor for his patience and encouragement to complete the course.

The church would like to thank all the businesses that supported this venture and also the management and staff of the NCTI.

In 2010 over thirty residents onUnionIslandwere trained and received their International Computer Driving License (ICDL) during the A Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines ICT project financed by the European Union STABEX 1994 Funds.
