A workshop session titled  “Introduction to Lesson Planning” is scheduled to take place on Friday 19th October from 10:00 a.m – 2:45 p.m at the Learning Resource Centre, Union Island.

The training targets untrained teachers of the Union Island Secondary School, Mary Hutchinson Primary School and Stephanie Browne Primary School and will be facilitated by Dr. Godwin James, Deputy Dean and lecturer in English Education, Division of Teacher Education: St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College.

Lesson planning is a fundamental aspect of teachers’ preparation for teaching. It sets out the objectives, and the activties the teacher and students will engage in during the lesson to achieve the learning objectives.

The workshop is a collaboration between Dr James and the schools on Union Island.
